Privacy policy
AimVisible is an AI marketing platform for ecommerce brands in Australia and New Zealand. We connect to the systems your business already runs, your store, your email tool, and your ad accounts, and we use that data to run and improve your marketing with your approval. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
AimVisible is operated from Sydney, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us", and "the platform" mean AimVisible. "You" means the person or business using the platform, or someone who has contacted us or started a trial. Where we process information about a brand's own customers, for example a shopper whose order data comes from the brand's store, we act on the brand's instructions and the brand remains responsible for that information.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you start a trial or contact us, we collect your name, business name, website, email address, and phone number. When you create an account we also collect your login email and a record of the brands you have access to.
Data from connected platforms. When you connect a platform to AimVisible, we read data from it at the scope you authorise. The exact data depends on the platform:
- Shopify. Orders, customers (name, email, address, order history), products, and store details. Used to understand your customers, segments, and revenue.
- Klaviyo. Subscribers, list memberships, campaign performance, and engagement events. Used to plan and draft email campaigns for your approval.
- Meta Ads. Ad account spend, campaign and ad performance, and creative details. Used to recommend and, with your approval, make changes to your campaigns.
- Google Ads. Campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, search-term, budget, conversion and performance data from the Google Ads account you authorise. Used to report performance, draft recommendations, prepare search campaign changes and apply only the changes an authorised operator approves.
Usage and technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps), error reports with identifying details removed, and aggregate analytics on our marketing site. We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions and to understand how the site is used. We do not use this data for third party advertising.
How we use it
- Running the service. Analysing your store, email, and ad data to produce the recommendations, reports, and campaigns the platform exists to provide.
- AI processing. We pass relevant parts of your connected data to AI model providers to draft recommendations and campaign content. Our providers do not train their models on your data.
- Approved actions. When you approve a recommendation, for example a budget change on an ad campaign, the platform makes that change on the connected account and keeps a record of it.
- Communicating with you. Responding to your enquiry, setting up your trial, and sending service emails about your account, your reports, and security.
- Security and improvement. Detecting abuse, fixing errors, and improving the platform.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share one brand's data with another brand. We do not use your data to train our own AI models.
Google Ads API data and actions
AimVisible uses Google Ads data only to provide Google Ads management services for the brand that connected the account. We use the data to analyse campaign performance, identify budget and keyword opportunities, draft responsive search ad copy, prepare paused campaign changes, and measure the results of approved work.
Google Ads changes are approval based. AimVisible records the proposed action, the operator approval, and the execution result. We do not sell Google Ads data, use it for unrelated advertising, share it with other brands, or use it to train AI models.
Where it is stored
Platform data, including connected platform data and account information, is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Some processing happens outside Australia. Our hosting and AI providers operate in the United States and other regions, so data may be transferred overseas to deliver the service. Where data crosses borders we rely on each provider's contractual data protection commitments.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the platform, such as database and hosting providers, AI model providers, transactional email delivery, error monitoring, and website analytics. Each provider is bound to handle data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of any person. We do not disclose personal information for any other reason.
How long we keep it
Account and trial enquiry information is kept while your account or enquiry is active. Connected platform data is kept for as long as your brand uses AimVisible. If you stop using the platform, we delete your brand's data within 30 days of your request, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Records of approved actions are kept longer for audit and security purposes. Aggregated data that cannot identify you or your customers may be kept to improve the service.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@aimvisible.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm the request, delete your account information and connected platform data within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done. Disconnecting a platform, for example removing AimVisible from your Meta or Shopify account, stops new data flowing immediately; emailing us completes deletion of the data already held.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete information we hold about you.
- Provide a copy of your information in a portable format.
To make any of these requests, email hello@aimvisible.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access keys for your connected platforms are stored encrypted and are only used to operate your account. We log access to connected data and review those logs. If a security incident affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
Children
AimVisible is a business product. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child's information has been provided to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform changes. If a change is significant, we will email account holders before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.
